Photo of Claire BunnClaire Bunn of Marion, Arkansas, has been selected as a recipient of a Marcus L. Urann Fellowship by The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi—the nation's oldest and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic disciplines. Bunn is one of only six recipients nationwide to receive the prestigious $20,000 fellowship, named for the Society's founder.

Claire graduated from UGA in May with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Genetics. She plans to begin a PhD program at the University of Cambridge this fall as a Gates Cambridge Scholar.

Established in 1932, the Fellowship Program annually provides funding to first-year graduate students who are pursuing post-baccalaureate degrees across all academic disciplines. Phi Kappa Phi Fellows go on to study at some of the nation’s top graduate schools. Each active Phi Kappa Phi chapter may select one candidate from among its local applicants to compete for the Society-wide awards.
